Happy Monday! I hope you all had a wonderful weekend. I know I did. I was able to snuggle with my kids and look out at the snow. My husband finally made it home from San Francisco after his flight was cancelled due to weather. And I got some stuff done. Mostly in my kitchen. Honestly, I have been putting off organizing my pantry so instead I organized my kitchen cabinets. They look pretty good. So here is what I accomplished along with some great kitchen cabinet organization ideas. And hopefully I will tackle my pantry before it tackles me.
So in my cabinets I like to keep it simple. Each cabinet has a purpose and that is that. So one cabinet has dishes. Another has glasses. One is for mixing/baking stuff. One is for small kitchen appliances, etc. But sometimes they can get jumbled up. So I have a few methods to at least keep them looking tidy.
I stack all of my bowls inside one another. I have good shelving inside my cabinets so I don’t need shelf organizers or anything.
I just line up my glasses by type. I NEVER stack them. That can be dangerous if they get stuck. I do not recommend it. And I save the occasional mason jar. Because they can be casual and fun!
Oversized bowls and baking supplies stay together. I do stack varying sizes inside one another. I love these jars that I got years ago from Sur La Table. I do store potatoes, onions and garlic in them. Easy access to these frequently used items is great and they are pretty too!
If you are short on cabinet space there are some great tools out there to help maximize it. These awesome shelf organizers add extra space where needed.
I thought these spice racks were genius! I haven’t tackled my spice cabinet yet. Between it and my pantry I think I need a couple of days.
This under shelf basket is a great space saver! I love the way it adds to the space under a shelf without compromising the space on top.
I hope these solutions help you tackle your kitchen cabinets this week. Happy organizing!
