I received a compliment the other day and it made me feel good and a little nervous. Here’s what I mean. Someone said to me “you eat so healthy and your family is so lucky to eat such a great menu!” It was such a wonderful compliment! But I felt like I was kind of a fraud. I really don’t feel that we eat overly healthy foods. I don’t shop only organic and read labels. I just buy what I know we like. We have never really eaten junk food as a family (sugar is our weakness). And I feel like I make the same things over and over. I am trying a few different things this (Spring Rolls, anyone?) and some regular favorites (steak and fries). But all in all, it’s sure to be a winner. I really appreciated the compliment and am using it as fuel to pay a bit more attention to the overall health content of my meals and to try new things to keep the variety going.
