Happy Halloween! I didn’t decorate for Halloween this year. The outside of my house is scary enough. I have to put up caution tape tonight so that no Trick or Treaters are harmed. But the front of the house isn’t even the whole of it! I promise the back yard is just as bad. Less dangerous, but just as ugly. See for yourself…..
During the season when we should be planting things, we are looking at dirt. Since the construction isn’t done yet, we are afraid to plant things that could get trampled or damaged. So we look at this. Good thing we haven’t had rain in a while, otherwise this would be a mud pit. And, it’s really fun when the dog tracks in muddy paw prints. I think I mop my floor daily. That’s carpet on the roof, by the way. Not sure why its there. I’m going to assume it is for when they stone the chimney. But it’s anyone’s guess.
Do you like the color of the house? As you can see in the picture above it is two different colors right now. The painters started to paint 3 weeks ago and then never showed back up. So the gutters are laying in the yard, there is plastic half hanging from windows and my house is 2 different colors. Someday it will all be that beautiful grey blue. (fingers crossed)
The dumpster and porta-potty are still there! It kind of detracts from the fact that we changed the roof line over the garage and added some shake siding. But whatever. There will be stone there at some point too. The stone is all parked in my front yard. The masons have been here for days so I know it will get done within the week.
For now I am spending my time looking at landscaping ideas and unpacking the last of the boxes. Lots of little, decorating things to do. Can’t wait to share it all with you!
Happy Halloween!
