Here is another installment of Try It Tuesday! And I am loving this! Doing this series actually has me completing projects I have been thinking about for months. This week I finally finished doing the upholstered bulletin board for my daughter’s room. And it is just precious!
I first saw this fantastic idea on Pinterest. It looked so high end that I thought it would be difficult. I was so wrong! I gathered up my supplies: staple gun, fabric, bulletin board ($7.99), faux nailhead trim (from Hobby Lobby), and my glue gun.
I stapled the fabric to the bulletin board. Make sure you pull it tight and work from opposite directions. For example, if you staple in the top left corner, move to the bottom right and pull the fabric tight. Once I had the fabric stapled all around it was time to glue on the nailhead trim. (you can read about my love for nailhead trim here.) The only trick here is making sure you put it on straight.
That’s it! Done! How easy was that?! I can’t believe I have been putting it off for so long.
What have you been putting off? I encourage you to give it a shot. It may be easier than it looks!
