Here is the second edition of Try It Tuesday! I decided to start with a very cute and simple project that my daughter spotted on Pinterest – Tissue Paper Poufs. She has been begging for me to make these and hang them in her room. They were pretty easy and make a great decorative addition to her bedroom.
I found the tutorial for this on Pinterest. The actual tutorial is from Oh So Very Pretty. Now, this isn’t the only tutorial out there about these little poufs so I did my research. And I am truly a “path of least resistance” kind of gal. I saw in a couple other tutorials that you should staple the center of these poufs. Great idea! I tried it that way. It doesn’t work. So I went back to the best tutorial.
I folded my tissue paper accordion style. I trimmed the ends to make them look like flower petals. I notched the center and tied them with ribbon. I fluffed out my pouf and VOILA! I hung them over the curtain rod in my daughter’s room. She screamed with delight when she saw them. Score one for this mom!
What did you try this Tuesday?
