2014 was a wonderful year for me. It has been a year of growth and learning that I will never regret. I have met some wonderful people and did some amazing things. Most amazing were attending the Haven Conference and going to Colorado with my family for some outdoor adventures. I have also made lots of mistakes and learned from them. Thanks to all of my fantastic readers, I have some top posts to share here. It’s like one stop shopping for the blog!
The number one, most read post on Domestic Charm this year was DIY Hidden Curtain Rods. I knew that sometimes finding curtain rods to work in a room was challenging. I had no idea how challenging so many people found it. I’m so glad I was able to DIY these great curtain “rods”. It was simple and a super stylish solution to the problem.
Yummy food had to make the list! My very easy Basil Cream Sauce made the list. Only a few ingredients pack a flavorful punch. And it takes about 5 minutes to make. It’s a great sauce over pasta when you are in a pinch for a quick dinner.
The One Room Challenge was one of my favorite blogging activities of 2014! I had so much fun seeing what others did to their homes and all of the encouragement we have to each other. Bloggers are such a wonderful community to belong to. There is no shortage of positivity and encouragement and creativity! Here is my One Room Challenge – The Dining Room.
Another favorite recipe made top honors. My Shrimp and Chorizo Fettuccine is so good! I absolutely love the mix of spice from the chorizo and freshness from the shrimp. Make it tonight!
Last, but certainly not least, The Prettiest Home on the Tour, from a holiday home tour this year, is here. This home is owned by interior designer Katherine Turner and her husband. It was just beautiful!
I promise to make 2015 even better than last hear! I have so many things planned. It is going to be the best year yet!
