Fall is my favorite time of year. The crisp, cool air moves in. The leaves change color. You can wear sweaters and boots again. It’s awesome! I also love to decorate my house for fall. It gives your home a feeling of coziness when it smells like cinnamon apples and has shades of brown and orange and red. But sometimes I just like to add a few little decorative items when I’m in a hurry. Here are a few super easy fall decor ideas to get you started on fall-ifying your house.
Adding natural elements is the single easiest way to decorate during any time of year. And fall has an abundance of great decor items to choose from. My favorite is apples. Just grab a bag at the grocery store and place them in a decorative bowl for a fall punch of color.
Corn husks and stalks of wheat can be readily found as well. I love to decorate a porch in corn husks, but for a quick interior fix I shoved some wheat in a vase and that’s the end of it.
Candles are always a great way to add ambience. And they look good on their own. But during fall and winter I like scented candles. Scents that are reminiscent of the season are my favorite. Fall fragrances should smell of apples and cinnamon and pumpkin and spices.
Add a burlap bow to something that screams fall. Leaves, twigs, pinecones….. all wrapped in burlap, are the perfect fall accent. And it takes no time at all.
Each of these quick little fixes are sure to get you in the mood for fall. And they will take you no time at all and very little effort. It gives you more time to go apple picking!
