It has been bitter cold here in the South. I know, I know….. some of you are buried under feet of snow with sub-zero temperatures while I am complaining about temperatures in the 20’s. However, for us Southerners, it’s chilly. It is also the perfect time to cozy up and snuggle at home. Here’s how I stay cozy during the winter months.
I keep blankets everywhere around my house. They are at the foot of the bed, slung over the back of the couch or in a basket. My kids and I are almost like Linus from Peanuts, we drag one everywhere we go. One of my favorite blankets that I have found around is from Parachute Home. It is a luxurious cashmere throw. Can’t you just feel the warm and cozy softness?!
My husband and I love tea. A hot cup of tea while curled up under a blanket and a good book always make me feel content. Now, if it were snowing outside, perfection! My most recent favorite book is One Plus One by Jojo Moyes. It is a must read on a cold winter day!
Candles around the house cast a warm glow that can keep you feeling warm throughout. I like to group candles for a more dramatic effect. If candles make you nervous, there are some great battery operated (candles) that can have a similar effect. Here are some I found on Amazon for a great price!
When it’s bedtime, a soft, squishy and toasty duvet is a must! Down alternative is also a must due to a feather allergy in our house. Parachute Home bedding also has a few of these as well. And covers for those duvets. Well, they just have great bedding sets!
How do you stay cozy in the winter? What are your favorite products for keeping warm at home? I’d love for you to share them with me!
