How do you decorate for Christmas? What is your favorite little vignette to create? I’ll show you mine if you show me yours! I’m showing off my favorite spot that I’ve decorated for Christmas this year. And it’s not that fancy, but it is sentimental and that is what makes it so special. This is for the seasonal scape challenge sponsored by Lauren Nicole Designs. Read on to find out how you can enter to win a fabulous prize.
I tried to keep my home simple this holiday season. No over decorating here! So the stockings are hung on my fab shiplap and raw wood mantle. They are surrounded by special winter items. The snow shoes belonged to my father. He loved to go out in the woods after a snowfall. I can’t say that I blame him. The forest looks like a winter wonderland after a good snow. But since he and my mom have moved to Florida, those old snowshoes are purely decorative (and sentimental).
That little sled propped up in the corner belonged to my grandfather. He grew up in Maine, so I’m sure that the little sled got lots of use during the winter ( which lasts from late fall to early spring). The thought of my Grampy on that sled as a little guy just makes me smile.
Lots of my friends are showing off their seasonal scape today and you can too. Follow me on Instagram and #seasonalscapechallenge to show off your favorite vignette and enter to win a fabulous prize.
