I must have been nice this year! I was totally spoiled this Christmas! I can’t thank my husband enough for my gifts. And my children. And my parents. I am one lucky gal!
First, I received a new work space! This desk from Ballard Designs now sits in my great room. It gives me adequate storage and looks beautiful! My husband and father set it up on Christmas Eve while I was out at the grocery store. Complete with my blog home page up on the computer screen. Isn’t that thoughtful! I have been lusting after this desk for months! I even mentioned it here back in May! I will surely share it with you once I get it all styled.
My children gave me the pasta making attachment for my KitchenAid Stand Mixer. I can’t wait to make some fresh pasta! We are carb-o-holics in this house so it will be well used! I will gladly share any fresh pasta recipes I come across or create.
I also got a new dining room chandelier. I was so nice not to have to eat Christmas dinner in the dark! The previous owners of the house had taken the chandelier with them. It was meaningful to them. But these things cost, so we had to plan accordingly. I was told I could get one back in October, but considering I procrastinate, I didn’t search for one until the beginning of December. It was so worth the wait!! I got it for a steal because it is discontinued. And because a lovely interior designer I met told me about a fantastic lighting store. I found a similar one on Wayfair if you are interested.
My father brought me 30 lbs. of moose meat fresh from Maine. And some lobster too. He went on 2 moose hunts this year and stocked my freezer! Yummy! And my mother is going to help me hunt down a large tobacco basket to hang in the great room. Yay! I’ll share that with you all when I find it. Come to think of it, I share the whole great room.
I hope you were spoiled this Christmas too!
