My daughter is obsessed with peppermint. And dessert. Naturally, she is in heaven this time of year….. peppermint and dessert everywhere! She also loves to bake. Sorry kid, mama doesn’t bake. So she has resorted to using my Pinterest account to look at yummy dessert recipes that she hounds me to make with her. This time she found a winner. A dessert blog with easy recipes that even a non-baker can do (and more complicated ones, too!) The recipe that started in all is Oreo Peppermint Bark Fudge from Crazy for Crust.
Now I have to be honest, I did not modify this recipe at all. It is 100% straight from the Crazy For Crust blog. So if you would like to make these wonderful pieces of heaven, you’ll have to click on over here.
I thought for sure that I would mess these up. I mean, they looked so perfect! And I can’t even make brownies from a box. (true story) And they called for sweetened condensed milk…. I have never used that stuff before. Honestly, I had trouble finding it at the store. That’s how far away I stay from the baking aisle.
My daughter hounded me enough and I caved. She even made me a shopping list. She recruited a friend to help. How could I refuse?
Well, we did it. And they came out perfect! Delicious! Gorgeous layering! No oven required! Positively perfect for the holiday season! I will be making more of these for the next holiday party we attend. A big thanks to Dorothy at Crazy for Crust for allowing me to share and for having such an awesome blog. You may teach this girl to bake yet!
