It’s week 4 of the One Room Challenge! And progress has been made, but not without some hiccups! (If you want to catch up, see week 1, week 2 and week 3.) I am so loving everything that is going into this room. Check it out……
Sooooo, last week I was just getting around to painting. I got the paint up on the walls and I hated it! It was so dark and it just really overwhelmed the room. I wanted it to be light and bright! I got out some paint I had in the garage (Relaxed Khaki by SW) and mixed it with what I had left of the Tavern Taupe by SW. So much better.
I also hung the trim to begin the board and batten walls. I go to use my new Ryobi Air Strike Cordless Brad Nailer. AWESOME! I think there will be a lot more trim going up around my house. That little gem makes it so easy! (Yes I know the battery pack is out of it in this pic. Safety first!)
All of the furniture has been assembled. I’m ready to do some IKEA hacks! So much fun! And I chose fabric for the headboard. But even that had it’s challenges. Did anyone else notice in week 2 that the fabric I put on my chair cushion was sideways? Well, I finally did! And I don’t have enough of it to make another cushion cover. So I found some other fabric that I love and also found a cool leopard fabric in my stash at home. I’m not going to tell you where each is going. Just know that one will be the headboard and the other will be the chair cushion cover.
Stay tuned because this week I am injecting some BOLD color up in here! Yahoo! And be sure to check out the other amazing projects that have linked up. They will blow your mind!
