One Room Challenge- Spring 2017 – Week 5

I can see the finish line!  And I have to admit, the One Room Challenge Spring 2017 is the best I’ve ever felt going in to week 5 than any other ORC I’ve ever done!  The guest bedroom is really coming together and I can’t wait to make it perfect for the first guests who get to stay in it.  I am so excited to share the full reveal with you next week!  Just a few finishing touches and it will be complete.

All of the furniture is painted, the wallpaper is up, accessories have been purchased and bedding has arrived.  All I have to do is put it all back together and hang the light fixture.  That darned light fixture!  We had a little hiccup with the size of the screws that are already attached to the ceiling.  They were a tad too long and left a gap between the canopy and the drywall.  Soooo, with a little thinking I came up with a solution.  If you follow me on Instagram you saw a sneak peek of it.  I bought a cheap ceiling medallion and painted it to match the wallpaper.  We’ll see how it looks next week.

All of the furniture is painted.  I just love using old pieces and breathing new life into them.  They probably need another coat of wax to shine them up, but that’s easy.  Everything is in the middle of the room right now so I really have to get to arranging everything for the reveal next week.

Blue and white have never been colors I have ever been drawn to, however, I am beyond glad that I chose them for this project!  They are coming together so beautifully!  I am really giddy over showing off my One Room Challenge Spring 2017 guest room next week.  Make sure you come back to check it out!
