Turkey day is almost here! I love Thanksgiving! The colors, the weather, the food, the people…. all of the things to be thankful for. So when some other bloggers and I decided to showcase all of our Thanksgiving tablescapes, I got even more excited! Because no 2 tables will look the same. And that is something to be thankful for too!
For me, I like the food to be the main event on a table. So I use some seasonal elements to make a centerpiece, along with candles and wine. (You can’t forget the wine.) Truly, I let nature set the palette this year. I used a leaf garland, some mini pumpkins and native corn as my decor.
My place settings aren’t fussy either. I wouldn’t even have china if my aunt wasn’t getting rid of hers and allowed me to take it. My suggestion is to keep it simple with a charger, dinner plate, salad plate and a napkin. I don’t even make place cards. I figure that everyone will sit where they want. And that is OK by me. Let’s enjoy the food and be thankful for each other.
I hope all of you enjoy your Thanksgiving! There is so much to be thankful for, each breath, each step, each hug…. That alone gets my thanks each and every day!
Please check out how my friends decorate their tables for the big day. You are sure to be inspired!
