This past weekend one of my best friends and I packed our bags and headed to Atlanta. We try to do this annually. We hit our favorite shops, eat good food and sleep late. But the best part is that we always try to time it with some sort of designer showhouse. And this time we hit the jackpot! It was time for the Home for the Holidays Designer Showhouse sponsored by Atlanta Homes and Lifestyles Magazine. This home was honestly the best showhouse we had seen in a long time. So take the tour for yourself! I took a ton of pictures to share with you.
This house was so huge I couldn’t fit the entire thing in one shot! Honestly, the copper downspouts, stacked stone facade, and stunning holiday decor just exuded luxury and elegance.
Once you enter and pass through the foyer, there is a music room on your left and an dining room on your right.
Once you are done looking at the stunning design detail in each of these rooms, you pass through a bar area and into the most stunning kitchen on the planet. Don’t let the photos deceive you. The cabinets are the most gorgeous dark slate blue and the island is a complimenting cool blue-gray. The doors on either side of the sink open onto a small patio for easy dining al fresco.
Directly off the kitchen is the main living room. I just fell in love with the color palette. It is very bold yet sophisticated.
Let’s step out onto the covered patio.
The master bedroom was actually not just a bedroom. It was a master suite complete with a library, the bedroom, his and hers closets and an amazing bathroom!
Time to head upstairs for the eclectic mix of spectacular bedrooms. What you must know about this showhouse is that each room was done by a different designer. So they all have their own distinct personality, although each fantastic!
And every proper upstairs needs a laundry/craft room, right?
And now my favorite upstairs bedroom…. and bathroom. I can imagine my son growing up in a room like this.
This home did have a full basement, however it was not decorated. But it did lead out to this unbelievable back yard.
