I have finally gotten around to taking photos of the rest of our holiday home, although I can’t promise that it is neat and tidy. We have all had a really bad cold around here so things have gotten a bit out of hand. That coupled with he fact that I don’t decorate before Thanksgiving means that I am WAY behind! I have so much to share with you so be prepared for a lot to come at you before Christmas hits!
If you have ever looked around my house, you will know that we have 2 family rooms. One is attached to our game room and the other is our living room. You saw our living room, our dining room and our kitchen on part 1 of our holiday home tour.
Our family room is where we spend lots of our time. Probably because it has the biggest TV! And a pool table…. so that helps. This room is where we have fun. The kids are able to be kids and hang out with their friends.
I even let my daughter decorate the Christmas tree in here! Because you know that all of us home decor enthusiasts can get a little bit particular about how the tree is decorated. I may or may not have added some decorations while she was at school… (wink, wink)
This room is where we hang our stockings and I get to decorate the mantle. I always keep it done in classic red and white. Sometimes it’s red and green, but always classic.
I have tried to add a few little odds and ends of holiday decor all around the house. I put a little Christmas tree in my office. My husband and I may be switching offices in the new year so I used this little Christmas tree as a color experiment. Deep, dark green and sparkly blush tones are kind of what I’m thinking for my office. I found some ornaments that are exactly that.
Do you like the color scheme? I really think it will look nice. Stay tuned for all of the home improvement plans I have for 2018!
Just a few touches here and there can make the whole house feel festive. I have even decorated the bedrooms but I’ll show that in another post. Have I mentioned that I love this time of year? Everything just sparkles and glows in my home. Everything feels so cozy and bright. Happy Holidays!
