Last week was totally crazy for me! I was up at High Point Market for the first half of the week and then had lots to catch up on when I returned. If you don’t know what High Point Market is, it is kind of like fashion week for interior design. Furniture manufacturers show their newest products, design trends are introduced and you get to see all of the lovely things you can offer to your clients if you are in the trade. It is so much fun but such a whirlwind! But there were some wonderful design trends for Spring 2017 that I would like to share with you.
I have one word for you COLOR! It was everywhere at High Point. And I have to say, my absolute favorite design trend for spring 2017! I am so happy to see grey and beige going away and bright colors coming back in! Thibaut, for example, released their Summer House collection and it is nothing but bright and cheerful colors and patterns that totally remind me of a summer house!
The Blush Label had some gorgeous pillows and accessories in fun patterns at their booth. All I wanted to do was decorate a room for a teenage girl with these! Can’t you just see it?!
Wesley Hall was a great place for inspiration. There was a ton of color! Especially in their upholstery fabrics.
Their showroom also proved that navy and white is here to stay. At least for a little while longer!
Pine Cone Hill had the most fabulous bedding! The colors were so fun and cheerful. Again, can’t you just see a beach house or a teenage girl’s bedroom being decorated like this?!
Even the accessories showrooms were full of color! Look at these adorable velvet boxes. I want one in every color!
Clearly color was the biggest of the design trends for Spring 2017. Oddly enough, we also saw lots of black and white. It was perfect to balance out all of the bright and saturated colors. I am loving everything I saw at High Point and can’t wait to incorporate it into my designs!
