So remember that post I did about that colorful little girls room? Well, that bright and vibrant little girl has a rough and tumble little brother. He likes cars and trucks and the color red. Check out the room that I designed for him….
Now remember, this is a rental house, so no changing the wall color. And we were on a budget. No going over the top. The family needed some style and some function. This room had to have some serious boy style – much different from his girly sister across the hall!
Cars and trucks and the color red….. so much fun! Some old, vintage road signs did the trick for that. I used a replica army trunk at the foot of the bed for toy storage.
My favorite color is red so this was an easy one for me. Just a few pops here and there. It meshed well with the old STOP sign that I found! And we definitely needed a place for books. This is one smart little guy. I found this great wall storage at Home Goods. It holds books right next to the bed and has hooks for clothes and hats.
I also went for an industrial vibe with the dresser and night stand. I love this dresser and matching night stand from World Market. They provide plenty of storage and just the right amount of industrial looking style.
I so enjoy doing kids rooms! It is just fun to create a space where they can be creative and feel awesome every day! Isn’t that what being a kid is all about?
I’ll show you their fun and bright bathroom next!
