My wonderful readers, you have asked for it… more before and after’s are coming your way. Many of you have told me how much you enjoy seeing room makeovers. You love to see the changes that are made, the DIY’s that are done and the amazing finishing touches that take a room from ugly to amazing. And as much as I love performing room makeovers myself, there just aren’t enough rooms in my house to redo each month. Oh, and that money tree hasn’t sprouted in the back yard either.
What I do have are immensely talented friends who are willing to share their before and afters. So each month I will share with you one amazing room makeover from one of my fabulous friends. I am calling it Before and After Friday. And to start us off are Kristy and Corey Robb from Robb Restyle. You won’t believe what they did to their kitchen!
Kristy and Corey have a fun eclectic- vintage vibe. Their kitchen did not. Well, at least not when they started. It was old and dark and a little beat up.
But with a lot of thrifting, DIY-ing and creativity, they transformed the space into this:
Can you believe it?! I know, amazing right? Yes, that is a reclaimed wood backsplash. And yes, those are tin ceiling tiles. And yes again, they did to it all themselves. The whole process took them about 5 years and there are things they would do again (backsplash) and wouldn’t do again (ceiling tile DIY) but they are so thrilled with the outcome.
Adding the extra lights and open shelving allowed Kristy and Corey to display all of their fun vintage finds. And they really do have some fun ones! They worked with what they already had and just gave their existing cabinets and some TLC including paint and fantastic hardware. They put their heart and souls into this kitchen and it really is a true reflection of their style and personalities.
Are you in love with it as much as I am? Well, if you want the full details of their makeover you can check it out here at Robb Restyle. And if you love this makeover so much that you have to Pin it (I know you do) please do so from their site. There are even more fantastic pictures and juicy details!
