Sooo, remember way back when, I told you that I was redoing my son’s bathroom? Well, it’s been finished for a while and I have just never showed you. (You may not remember, so if you need a refresher you can see it here and here.) I also did a little update to my daughter’s bathroom too. It all started with a little grout project (see that here) and then it got a life of its own. So here are the bathroom updates, finally.
My son’s bathroom was an 80% tear out. We got rid of the old vanity and the old flooring, the old mirror and light fixture, and the old toilet. The only thing that remained is the shower. It all started with the need for a new toilet. Then I saw a great vanity on display at Lowes. I convinced my husband that we could totally do this! Yeah, well new flooring later, we actually did most of it ourselves and I am really pleased with the outcome.
The floor tile is my favorite part! I just love how sleek and modern it is without being cold and boring. It’s like a chic hotel.
I also love the way my daughter’s bathroom turned out. She asked for turquoise and I gave it to her, in the most sophisticated way possible.
The grout actually sparkles! It is so cool! And the tile, also from Lowes, is just beautiful. I would really love to use it again in another project. We also added some girly art and kept the walls a very pale turquoise, so it’s not overwhelming.
