Yep, I did it again. I made my yearly pilgrimage down to Atlanta with my dearest friend and we toured the Atlanta Homes and Lifestyles holiday home. It’s an annual thing that we do. If you missed last years home, you can see it here. This years home was more modest than last, but still did not disappoint. Don’t you just love a good home tour?
My friend and I head down to Atlanta and land in the heart of Buckhead, each and every year. We laugh, we eat well, we shop and we ALWAYS see the show house. This year was a home that had been gut renovated and brought back to life. The before and after pics they had on display were amazing. Here is how it looks now:
I fell in love with the entry stairs. Just look at that runner! Ombre, anyone?
Off to the left of the foyer is the formal living and dining room. I am a huge fan of that ceiling!
Then down a little hallway is the family game room. It could also be a bedroom because there is a bathroom and closet in there. All of the colors are fantastic in this home, but they are dark so I apologize for the dark iPhone photos!
Coming back out of the family game area, you head down a different hall and into the main living area of the home. It is a wonderfully colorful living, breakfast area and kitchen. There was so much art in this home. Clearly, the home owners have a passion for art and this home shows their collection quite handsomely.
I adore the colors in the breakfast area. It really plays off of the kitchen which was kept neutral and stunning.
The butlers pantry, which is more like a bar, is down a little hallway. The hallway also leads to the laundry room which has a cool hidden door leading to the foyer. Such a great idea!
Now, let’s head upstairs…..
The little girl’s room was positively my favorite! I was so sweet without being too young. I girl of any age would love being in this room!
There is a home office upstairs, that can only be described as exotic, that I adore as well. Just fantastic!
In addition to one other bedroom (which was so dark the photos were awful!) there is the master suite. It is quite unusual and sculptural. The bed floats out from the window, there was a mobile over the chair and the tub looks like a sculpture as well.
As you return downstairs and head out to the covered patio, grab a beverage. I just love this bar set up!
Overall, I am assuming that this home was truly decorated for the owners. And they have modern and artistic taste. It was beautiful and quite colorful. It definitely showcased the talent that Atlantas has to offer from the art, to the design and the construction. Well done! I can’t wait to see what they have in store next year!
