I love fresh flowers. Hydrangeas, to be exact. I would put them in every room of my house, if I could. And some peonies. I love those too! Even though they look just as gorgeous in that regular old glass vase, I wanted to give them a jazzier container this time. Something that would really make them fantastic! Even more fantastic than fresh hydrangeas already are. But if I bought another vase I’m pretty sure my husband’s head would explode.
So, one morning while feeding the dog his “stay slim” greenbeans, an idea was born……. (If you have a big dog and you want to keep him/her in the correct weight zone, your vet has probably told you the green bean trick!)
I looked at that big old can of green beans and thought “I could do something with this!” As soon as I dropped the kids off at school I gathered supplies. I rifled through my ribbon drawer and picked my favorite colors (well, my favorite right now) and grabbed my glue gun.
I pulled out the extra sharp scissors for this and cut the ribbon to the size of the circumference of the can.
Then I hot glued the ribbon into place. Keep a glass of ice water handy to dip burned fingers into! Then, voila! Spring in a can!
