I have seen so many amazing rooms lately! Have you? And all of these gorgeous rooms lead me to believe that there are some fantastic color trends emerging. I know it seems a bit premature. Here is my own 2015 color forecast.
I think the all white and grey trend is on its way out. Thank goodness!! No offense to anyone who has a beautiful and pristine white living room, but I just can’t hang. Your rooms are gorgeous but they make me feel woefully inadequate. I have 2 young kids. I loved the simplicity and I tried. You even tried to sell me on the slipcover thing, but my slipcover is now stained. I tried my best.
Bold and bright colors are in! Yippee! I love bold color. It makes me smile and brightens up any room.
First on my list is burnt orange. Have you seen it in your magazines and catalogs? Just take a look at this bedroom from Pottery Barn. Just a couple of hits of orange.
How about a jolt of teal? I am loving it! Here is a living room from Arhaus.
And this from House Beautiful.
Even the orange mixed with the teal….. oh that sounds fantastic!
Subtle is the key. Pillows and blankets, accent walls, just simple pops of color to liven up your decor.
Who likes grapes? This deep grape is a new beauty. And don’t you just adore it paired with the silver? Very regal!
And leaf green. So bright and fresh, yet not too “in your face”. Green is my least favorite color, however, I do love this. Of course, Kelly Wearstler does it again!
Even neutrals are getting a bit brighter. More camel than beige and taupe instead of greige. It’s going to be a great year!
